A man steps outside his front door for the first time and takes a wrong turn, stumbling into another world and a group of strange, lonely beings. Mutual suspicion and antagonism gradually give way to a shared understanding and acceptance, but before he becomes too settled the winds change and his journey turns into an epic battle for survival against the unpredictable forces of nature.

Lost in the Wind uses clowning, puppetry and object manipulation alongside spectacular visual sequences and delicate physical performance to take audiences gently by the hand and lead them into a dreamlike other-world full of beauty, humour and danger.

The show floats between stunning visual spectacle and subtle human interactions, ridiculous clown sequences and poetic moments of pathos. An old lady has one last dance with the memory of her husband; a man accidentally wees himself; a group of nomads battle a blizzard and a pair of innocents play with a giant balloon. It is full of magic and the unexplained.

The cast manipulate puppets and found objects with the same care with which they use their own bodies in order to communicate without text. They bring the elements indoors to create adverse weather conditions on stage: a violent snowstorm, a rainy night, a meandering river and many heavy winds.
